Cooking Classes

I love food. I love what good food symbolizes for me: taste, community, conversation, bonding, pleasure, luxury, being grounded, sensuality, nourishment, warmth, lineage, relishing in the moment, travel, culture, discovery, adventure, education, cooking, creation, love, joy.

In offering cooking classes, I not only want to share my recipes and empower more people to cook well for themselves at home, I also hope to impart some of the joy and pleasure that food can add to our lives, our relationships and our communities.

During classes we’ll talk about sourcing ingredients, the importance of eating seasonally, why organic matters, properly seasoning your food, why we taste taste and taste again throughout the cooking process, why i believe our thoughts and energy while cooking and eating are so important, and more.

Group Cooking Classes

Round up a group of your favorite humans and make a night (or day) of it. We’ll gather in your kitchen where you will observe me making various dishes. This is a mostly hands-off class- the expression “too many cooks in the kitchen” exists for a reason- but there will be some opportunities for guests to participate. Everyone will enjoy a delicious meal together at the end and all guests will receive printed copies of the recipes.

Private Cooking Classes

This is for the person who is looking for a more hands-on experience and/or who needs some more hand-holding in the kitchen. Perfect for someone looking to really tune up their cooking skills and feel more empowered to start cooking for themselves. We’ll spend a few hours in the kitchen together making food, going over technique, talking through the recipe steps, answering questions, etc. With my guidance, you’ll have the opportunity to take charge and make the various dishes from start to finish. you will receive a printed copy of each recipe.

pricing and booking

group classes are $200 per person and i request a minimum of 8 people and maximum of 20 (really it just depends on the size and layout of your kitchen).

private classes are $200 an hour. private classes are for individuals or couples only. for budgeting and timing purposes, please expect classes to be between 2 and 4 hours long, depending on the menu and/or number of recipes you wish to cover in one class.

menus are seasonal and always changing. Every season i will offer 4 menus- one grain free, one vegetarian, one soup focused and one on the indulgent side. contact me for details on the current menu options. *custom menus are available, pricing will vary depending on ingredients.
